René McCarty is a Nationally Certified Physician Assistant with more than 25 years of experience in Family Medicine, Women's Health and Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). She enjoys helping people of all ages maximize their health, but has specialized training in the use of bio-identical hormones. She attends multiple conferences a year specific to hormone therapy. René has been treating women and men with bio-identical hormones for many years and has a broad background in women’s health. She reads and studies hormonal function extensively, focusing on hormone replacement therapy and the many benefits provided to her patients, as it is her passion in medicine.

Maryellen Smith is a Nationally Certified Physician Assistant and has been a practicing PA for 12 years. Her experiences traverse Family Practice, Internal Medicine and Woman's Health. She enjoys all aspects of medicine, treating ages from birth through life. She has a straightforward medicinal perspective and enjoys developing a meaningful relationship with each of her patients. She develops a team approach with patients to maximize their health in all aspects of life.

Maryellen is trained in the field of Bio-Identical HRT and has worked closely with René in the field for the past two years. She has found her experiences in this field have made a difference in the lives of many men and women.

Brooke Dreiss is a Nationally Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UT Austin and obtained her Nurse Practioner degree from UTMB. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds and seeks to develop a meaningful and productive relationship with each patient. She is passionate about family practice medicine and is excited to join the team at Lifetime Health Center.
